As a Human Being we all have experienced setbacks and failures in our private and professional life ... as Women we multiply these difficulties in particular during the periods of pregnancies and motherhood. The Forum JUMP on the 25 & 26 April will tackle this topic with a special conference on Friday : "How to cope with pregnancy, career changes, failures, bankrupcy, illness or burnout ...?" The professor Corinne Hubinont (UCL) will speak to us about her experience in accompagnying young mothers and would like to take this opportunity to ask some very brief questions that will be used for her research and her speech at the Forum. Cela fait 38 jours qu'en désespoir de cause, des sans-papiers ont entamé une grève de la faim au 91 de la Rue Royale, à Bruxelles. Les médecins évoquent des risques de complications graves dont certaines peuvent être irréversibles. Le vide politique sur la question de la régularisation, qui les a amenés à cette action, est tout aussi insupportable.

Keep it up! The book actually argues that women should worry a bit less about this topic, and that companies and managers should worry a bit more. We think women are doing a good job. And that companies should stop decades of efforts at ‘fixing women’, and start fixing the managerial and organisational issues that are blocking them. We suggest that companies and managers haven’t yet learned how to optimise and recognise their talents. So there is a chapter called ‘Figuring out Females’ which summarises what managers need to know about women in order for their companies to benefit from their obvious talents.
